Information requested for Mystery shopper. Letter arrived today, without signature of Jim Megson, Head of Recruitment PACIFIC RESEARCH GROUP. Letter had check with errors and seems fake, from First Citizens Bank.
#05000063154. The amount is $2,980.00 and with letters is two thousand four hundred eighty dollars.
The letter has misspelled error. The request is to evaluate Post Office, Walgreens and Walmarts ….to deduct 300 from the check and use the rest for the assignment…

I was approved as a mystery shopper. Via email then received a “certified check” from entity claiming to be pacific research group. Only check was not cut from business account it was a personal name. I googled it to find out it was a famous author. The check was for 2950. I was to deposit it in my checking account. Then take 2500 and buy 3 post office money orders. Once the purchase was made I was to text for additional instructions. I knew it was a fraud and did not proceed. The checks are fraudulent and might clear in a few days. But come back 30 days later as fraud.
