Type of a scam Nigerian/Foreign Money Exchange

I was contacted via fb market place to buy a item I was selling, after the person kept asking for my name address phone number email etc… he refused to speak with my husband cause I refused to give my phone number, then told me he was sending a money order to the address. And would be sending a shipping company to pick the item up. He sent an email "from the company" USA intercargo. The email did not sound right, so I called the company and forwarded the email to the real company, they did in fact verify that was NOT from their company it was fraudulent. I researched the name on the profile which was different than what the email said and it pulled up several profiles using some combination of these Nigeria names. I have not received the package yet. This is a scam I assume to get my identify. In the messages he said he was from see Moines, Iowa but yet says he live in Seminole which is where I live. He changed it I believe to get into the fb group.
