Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
On March 20, 2020, I was contacted by a recruiter (Charlotte Hunter- 424-502-0612) via text message about my resume from Careerbuilder and have been selected for a position with the Orifarm Group. I was then ask to contact Richardson Hawkins via Skype or Hangouts at [email protected] for an interview. I contacted the person via Hangouts and he conducted the interview. After I answered his questions, he told me I was hired. He had Mark Peach ([email protected]), accounting officer, send me a cashier’s check via email for $2900 to be mobile deposited to purchase office equipment needed for the job. I have not cashed the check.
According to an internet search of the company’s headquarters, Orifarm Group is located in Denmark and is a manufacturer of generic drugs.
