Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

A friend of mine shared a "Oral-B" (toothpaste) link for a potential "easy way" to earn some extra cash. All you had to do was allow Oral-B to wrap your vehicle in some type of advertisement. The job was supposed to pay $200.00 a week. It seemed legit at first until I received a Cashiers check in the mail for $1200.00 and a letter with steps I was SUPPOSED to follow:

Step 1: Deposit check into my account

Step 2: Take screenshot of deposit proof

Step 3: Send photo to the scammers email address

Step 4: Await instructions to scheduled the wrapping expert (I was then supposed to give the wrapping expert the $1000.00 and I’m supposed to keep the $200.00) HA YEA RIGHT!

NO LEGIT COMPANY WOULD EVER DO THAT! If you get anything like this, DO NOT DEPOSIT THIS AND DO NOT CONTACT THEM ANYMORE! I have had friends fall pray to scams like this and all this will do is put your bank account in the negative! Also by sending them photos of proof it was deposited can also potentially give the your bank information depending on what you actually screenshot!! Just remember, if it sounds too good to be true then IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
