Type of a scam Identity Theft

After purchasing travel tickets abroad, a very important and authentic website popped up utilizing "Google" header requiring my immediate attention and contact. When contacted I was advised that my computer was severely compromised and required immediate reparations in order to prevent further loss; specifically that there were parties attempting to completely clean out all bank accounts and credit cards as we spoke if immediate action was not taken. Since I had just completed my purchase overseas, I was convinced this was a possibility….only to succumb to the fact that I had been in fact, hacked.
