Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I received a package in the mail from someone called Casey Nelson 5663 S Mingo Road STE M, Tulsa, OK 74146. It contained a letter from Optimal Mystery Shoppers along with a check in my name for $2450 dollars. It said I was supposed to text them and let them know I received the check, the cash it and they would them give me instructions to purchase things at Walmart and review them and that should keep 200 dollars as my "salary" for the reviews. I believe you know this, it is the Walmart mystery scam. The fake check is from a bank called FirstAlliance Credit Union PO Box 8070 Rochester MN 55903-8070. I did not deposit the check. I could tell their company site is a sham. Then I read about the scam online. I think the scammers got my information (name and address) from a website where I applied for a job via LinkedIn three weeks ago. I received a LinkedIn message from a company saying that they were looking for local people to review restaurants and local stores as a mystery shopper of sorts. That’s why I link the two incidents. I have alerted LinkedIn as well as they need to be aware their platform is enabling scams.
