I was targeted and convinced that I was hired by this company and blind sided until (hiring manager) attempted to have me deposit a check from Ophthalmology Associates to my knowledge for my software equipment to be able start working from home until their office was opened or “relocated”. He instructed me to download cash app/Apple Pay and to send 500.00 to a “vender”.Not knowing at the time was what going on until it had hit me it was a scam. My bank was closed and I contacted them the next morning about the event. I have been monitoring my account and have blocked and deleted my information from the app and am shocked that i had fell for this fake “opportunity” when I really thought it was a legit job opportunity. I asked for documentation of my job offer and documents for employment and he said it would come with the second package(wood materials) for a mini office I would be using. That was when another flag appeared and I was so upset that I didn’t see this sooner.
