Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
On Wednesday June 13th at around 4:00 P.M I recieved a call from a lady named Paula that offered me a loan for $5000 and a monthly payment at around $182. Seems like a good deal right? I was in a desperate financial situation so I made the grave mistake of giving out my personal information, very similar to the process that a accredited online loan lender does. After giving out my information, I talked to a person named Mike and in order to receive the loan I had to purchase two google play gift cards after they deposited 769 dollars in my account. The amount actually did get deposited in my account but it didn’t show on my online bank statement until two days later. I was able to pay back $400 of the $769. Then yesterday I noticed my bank account is at -769. The amount that was taken out was for child support from Stark County, IL, which is very suspicious since I have no kids. At this point I just want to give people the heads up about these loan scams and I’m not sure what to do moving forward.
