Type of a scam Employment

This is supposed to be a recruiting agency out of PA looking for a company in CO. There was not a single person that spoke English as a 1st language, but could easily carry on a conversation. In process of getting information from me they asked for my D.O.B. and the last 4 of my social. After the call, I began to think why that would be needed for a recruiting company prior to any offer. When I called back to talk about this they could only reply you don’t need to worry about this. I asked to to speak with the supervisor that was supposed to call me back about the position. Similar statement of don’t worry about it. They said it was to create a unique profile. However, when I asked about the position, they said it was already filled, as in hired for an all. That was within two hours of the initial call
