Type of a scam Employment

I was emailed by this so called recruiter stating that he had seen my resume on CareerBuilder. He goes on to say that his boss thinks that I am a good fit for a position at his company. The recruiter then calls me and tell me about the job duties and the pay. I get another email asking for my date of birth and last 4 digits of my social security number.
