Type of a scam Employment

A representative called purporting to be with a company that is looking for employees on Indeed. The representative named ‘Monica’ stated that she is with a company I applied to and that there will be an interview for this job the next day and she asked if I was available. ‘Monica’ stated that this job is for a job in midtown Manhattan, but that their headquarters is located in Queens. She also stated that in order to qualify for this job, I would need to take an OSHA 10 class and that I would need to come to the ‘interview’ with $150 in cash or a money order as a down payment for this OSHA course–personal checks were not accepted. I arrived for the ‘interview’ the next day. The representatives at this location asked what job I was seeking; I told them and they proceeded to ask for the $150 for the OSHA class. They provided me with a receipt and only then stated that employment is not guaranteed. The receipt did not read the name of the employer I was seeking. I then asked about the interview and the person I was supposed to interview with and I was told that that individual was not there and that I was speaking with his ‘supervisor’ and I was told by the ‘supervisor’ that the interview already took place. I was then told to call them back later in the week to inquire about the OSHA training. I looked up the name from the receipt online and did not find this company. I also did not find a professional email for this business–the domain on the OSHA receipt states Gmail. This company appears to have obtained customer’s information somehow off Indeed, or is acting as if its a real employer on Indeed looking for help.
