I got a phone call about seeing a problem with my computer 2 years in a row. After phone call, my computer becomes slower and on 2 instances freezes all together. They then call back and offer to fix it after I pay them.

While closing my emails online yesterday, my computer screen changed to bright red & a warning message told me to not " close computer, call # 4242175156".

I thought there was a serious problem, so I called the number & a tech named " Peter" said he could run through my computer & fix the problem.

He appeared to be searching for a problem & said he found some things wrong, which He highlighted for me to view. He spent about 30 mins doing this. Then he offered me 3 plans, where his company would provide servicing for this computer. When he asked for my credit card info, I realised something wasn’t right.

My wife called them when he didn’t exit my computer and warned she would call the police. He eventually went of line.

We have made some changes to our accounts & are continuing to monitor as we don’t know if our personal info has been compromised.

Automated message states they have been alerted that my computer is at security risk. When you call back they try to gain access to your computer under the pretense that they can help protect you from all the threats. I have told them multiple times to remove my name from their list and never call me again, but I continue to receive several calls per day.

I had a message about a security breach. Decided to call back and a Matthew answered and I asked him why he is calling. He said someone from my internet security contacted them because there was a breach. When I questioned him he said they work for the federal government. I asked to speak to supervisor he said I am the supervisor. I asked him to take me off the list of calls he said I dont love myself and it will be my fault if someone sends me a bomb in the mail. He then hung up.

First contacted for computer protection and purchased 2 years of protection. About 1 year later received a call saying the company was going out of business and I was due a refund. I foolishly gave them information to wire the refund into my account and they wired (supposedly) the wrong amount. They insisted I return the overage (1700.00) right away. I informed them I needed to contact my bank to verify the deposit and they wanted to connect me via them. I hung up and called my bank and discovered there had been no deposit. I immediately shut down my computer and when about an hour later I tried to log in again, the computer was nonfunctional. I had to have the computer wiped and lost all my documents, I had to close down my checking account and debit card with all the subsequent problems. I have just started receiving calls from them again, which I hung up on.
