The Victim was contacted by phone and with an offer to install a new roof, which the Victim wanted and nothing more. The scammer (contractor, David Cohen) came to Client’s home and replaced her roof. The contractor then showed her wiring and convinced her her home needed to be rewired. The Victim was then showed a picture (supposedly) from her bathroom showing she had mold and needed a whole bathroom remodel. They followed up by producing some tool and held it by her window and said her windows are not sealed well and she needs all new windows. They attempted to make her feel her house could catch fire if she did not upgrade the wiring, or she would become sick from the mold. The Victim signed a contract that she did not properly understand. This company coerced the Victim to get a reverse mortgage on her home. Victim is an 83 year old widow.
