I received a FINAL DEMAND letter requesting Demand For Payment in the amount of $584.89 for Equipment Lease Agreement. This is the third letter I have received. I ignored the first two, thinking it was a scam and chose to ignore it. But I have received a third. I have never leased a thing in my life. The letter said to remit payment to: Northern Leasing Systems, Inc. PO Box 7861 New York, New York 10116. It also says that my delinquency has been reported to the credit bureau as a charge-off or collection amount. There is no such delinquency on my credit report. This is a very threatening letter.

I could not think of a worst company to work with. I have an electronic sign with them, and was trying to get rid of it. I started calling them, in December trying to get them to take it back and stop billing me for it. I left numerous messages for them, and nothing. Finally talked to someone and they said send shipping quotes to send it back, so I did, they said they were not right. So I sent more, then they called and said I did not need to send it back,if I paid the last payment it was mine. I don’t want the stupid thing, that is what started it all. If I would give them no stars I could. I would advise anyone against going thru these people, they don’t listen to reason, and their customer service staff suck. So unhappy right now.

Northern leasing systems fraudulently kept my banking information after I had bought out their credit card equipment back in 2003, and then about eleven years later, began fraudulently initiating automatic monthly withdrawals out of business checking account. I went to my bank and blocked this automatic withdrawal. Then, they begin sending monthly invoices accruing $26 dollars a month. We explained that we had already bought out the leased equipment, which by today’s standards is obsolete. Nevertheless, they sent a collection letter threatening suit. They are a scam company. Just look at the recent class action lawsuit settlement. If you are a small vendor, choose a reputable company to handle your credit card transactions, like one of the big banks. Northern leasing? Run for the hills.

They forged my signature on a contract and sent me into collections for $ 1925.04, on a broken credit card terminal that never worked. Biggest scam Ever. I’ve had to hire an attorney to fix this dispute & get a satisfactory reporting to the credit agencies
