Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

There was an ad on facebook about completing a mystery shopper survey on Walmart. I clicked for more information, but upon reading up on details decided it sounded suspicious. I later received a packet in the mail with instructions to deposit the check that they sent into my bank account, they would take some of the money for fees and I would be able to keep the difference or something to that effect. I didn’t read it much past the "deposit into your account" statement as I know these are scams. I threw the check and packet away. Since then, I continue to receive harassing text messages that will not stop. This morning received one threatening to report me to the FBI if I didn’t get back to them with the status of my survey. I want these texts to stop.
