Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Received a phone call about becoming a mystery shopper. Then received a check for 2450.00 and a letter with directions TEXT 707-666-3764 with EXERCISED RECIEVED. Then deposit the check into my checking account within 24hours then text the 707-666-3764 with the code DRAFT LODGED. Then check your account for funds availability when the funds become available then text TOTAL SUM OF $2450 READY. Once you text this you will receive directions of which items to purchase and where you mail the items you purchase. Then it Sid to keep $200.00 as payment for this task.

On Linked in I saw a job posting regarding a secret shopper. I had done this like 15 years ago and it was legit so I thought maybe I would try it again. I just received an check in the mail for $2450 which seems crazy that they would advance me that amount of money in advance. The letter has typos and everything will be done via text message which seems fishy. I googled b/c this seemed odd and scam warning on BBB exactly the same just a different company name.

If it seems too good to be true it probably is… See attached letter I got with the check.

Received what looked like a Certified Check for $2450 with instructions to deposit the money order and text information to confirm receipt and that it had been deposited. The letter said after that I would receive a notice of availability of funds, then to text again identifying with full name. It said then that after that a text would be received with instructions on what to purchase at Walmart stores. After the task to be completed keep $200 from balance as salary. Read up on the scams that are going around and trashed this immediately and tore up the fake money order.
