Type of a scam Online Purchase

I found a puppy contacted "breeder" and we agreed on the price of $800 for pup and $150 for shipping. Deposited money in breeders account and was told puppy was shipped. Shorty after I receive an email requiring a refundable insurance of $1500. Of course them I should have figured something is funny but I sent the $1500. Then I was sent an email requesting a fee over $2600 for a crate. At this time I said I was no longer interested to return pup to breeder and refund all monies. Of course then neither breeder or shipping company answers the phone or responds to texts and emails. I sent an email stating to return the $1500 insurance fee and I would take the hit for the $950. Of course that did not happen because I now think the puppy does not exist and the shipping company is part of this breeders scam. Breeder is probably not the correct title because I now believe there is no puppy that the website has stolen pictures and was set up to only scam people out of their money. Since receiving my funds I have not been able to get any contact form these people, I have no excuse for my lack of diligence I am grieving. I lost my 19 year old daughter unexpectedly and the puppy was going to be a source of comfort for my broken heart. I truly do not have any extra money and I borrowed the insurance fee because I was still counting on a pup and the money was to be refundable. So not only did I get scammed for the pup I put myself in a situation I cannot see out of. I am broken in ways no one can understand and this hit financially will be very difficult to recover from. I thank anyone who can help me get money back and prevent this breeder scammer from putting another in a situation that leaves them hopeless.
