Here is a copy of what they send. I get about five emails a day. I keep blocking them and more come. I have verified with Netflix and my account is fine.

When you click the link, it prompts you to put in your email, ‘locates’ your account, and then asks for your card information. This is not Netflix. My sister put in her information, and when she didn’t get a conformation email, she got worried and locked her card. I looked over the text and website and it’s obviously a scam. Netflix wouldn’t text you, (i don’t think they even ask for a phone number) they would email you. The link was a non secure site and not an official Netflix site.

Type of a scam Identity Theft

Email from "fake" Netflix advising me that I needed to update my credit card information because the auto-billing to my card wouldn’t go through. Was directed to follow an attached link to update my information. Follow-up emails received from various Netflix email addresses reminding me to update my information, eventually telling me that my Netflix account was terminated, finally that I could still reactivate my account by updating my card information at an attached link.

Reasonably convincing email structures that could be easily mistaken as legitimate. Two errors however 1) my Netflix account was still functioning and 2) subscription payments aren’t paid to Netflix directly but rather to iTunes.

Type of a scam Identity Theft

I was contacted via e-mail from an account claiming to be Netflix, saying that my payment had not gone through. I signed in making up a fake email and password, and it still let me log in to my "account". From there it asked for identity questions that Netflix would NEVER need such as my mother’s maiden name, social security number, and date of birth, credit card info etc…
