Type of a scam Business Email Compromise
Received email, which appeared to be from my boss, asking if I was available to prepare a wire for him? I "replied yes" at that time my email went to the fraud at a email.com instead of gmail.com. I am now corresponding with the scammer, as he then sent me an attachment with a 28k invoice for software. I wired money to a fraud, Negtegaz LLC.
Apparently the fraudulent account was closed or suspicious, as my funds were returned 3 weeks later.
Beware of replying to emails as they could be going to a hacker. I will now just forward emails, and retype the receipents address vs "reply"
