A woman called my company asking if we had some accounts that needed collections. She asked that we give her one account and they would collect on it at no charge, just to show how good they were. We agreed.

A few days later, a man called from the same company explaining that they would need $450 up front to collect on this particular customer, because they were filing a lawsuit against her, BUT they would include the $450 in the amount they were seeking, so we were guaranteed to get back everything we were owed and then some.

After months of begging for updates with sporadic responses, they stopped communicating altogether. Now their website is gone, their phone is disconnected, and we are out $450.
