Total money lost $600

Type of a scam Government Grant

A close family member of mine let me know that her friend worked with a loan forgiveness program, and gave me their information! Galo and Priscilla were the main scam artists assuring me that my school loans would be forgiven with their help in 10 years. Normally I would not have believed anything like this, but because the information came from a friend, and because the scammers had websites, social media, "government verifications", positive Yelp reviews, and were responsive to both emails and calls, I trusted! All trace of them is gone. Numbers are disconnected, websites have disappeared, and I am now getting emails from my loan provider about the money I owe. Be careful with the information that people give you, even family!!

I do not have any student loans, I have not ever had any student loans, and I did not co-sign for any student loans. This company calls me at least once a day telling me that I qualify and have been approved for a student loan consolidation loan. I have stayed on the line 3 different times to reach a person to ask them to remove me off their dialing list. Each time I reached a ‘receptionist’ who stated that they cannot help me and then hang up on me.
