I was called multiple times by someone named Anthony who left very vague voicemails regarding apparent "changes" made to my student loans. I called back, assuming it was my legitimate loan servicer due to the urgent sounding message, and spoke to another person, Nicholas. He began explaining my eligibility for student loan forgiveness. Long story short: Nicholas is a good salesperson and talked up how much I would allegedly be saving by going through with his company which would be consolidating my loans. I was told that I would no longer be dealing with my initial loan service and would no longer be obligated to make payments to them. Instead, Nicholas explained that my loan service would have to give my loans up to them and they would tale it from there. He then immediately asked for ALL my information (SSN, bank routing & account number, FAFSA email) and even logged into my FAFSA account which required him to change my ID without asking for my permission. Since he was selling this offer to me so well – and had me convinced it was legit by repeating the Obama student loan forgiveness act – I did not think anything of this. Once he gathered my information he asked when I would be able to make my first payment, urging me to pay soon. Soon after this phone call ended I was sent an email asking for me to sign documents that would legally bind me to this deal. The mail itself was sent from a sketchy email with no company information. I then realized neither Anthony or Nicholas had even informed me on the company they were even working for. It all sounded too good to be true and once I researched the situation immediately after I came to the conclusion this was a scam. Very vague, giving me little to no information on the company itself. Luckily I did not sign off on any of the documents they sent me, however I am still in the process of figuring out how to prevent them from using all my information.

I feel stupid first off because these people are really good at praying on students who are in desperate need of consolidating their loans. They told me they take all of your federal loans and consolidate them. First you make 4 on time payments of x amount ( mine was $48). Then I will pay $0/month for 2 years. After 2 years I resubmit my income and price may go up or down. The problem is your federal loans never get consolidated and you’re paying these people for no reason. It makes it look like you’re not paying your federal loans which effects your credit but time. So now I have to close my account so they don’t take out my money and if I try to cancel with them I was told they just hang up on you. So I’m convinced this is a scam.

The business keeps calling me about being pre-approved for student loan forgiveness. Thye have called my phone 15 times in the last 10 days. They ask for my SSN along with other info. I have asked them to stop calling and remove their number from their list. They continue to call from 605-204-5460 and when I call cack it states the number is no longer in service but onthe voicemail they leave they state to call 949-201-1319. I avd asked for the license number and they refuse to give it to me. I have also contacted my local police department about this matter.
