Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I received a text message with a link to become a Mystery Shopper around 10/3/2019. After filling out the interested form for employment about a 3 days later I received an email asking to become a Mystery Shopper and what the company’s expectations are in assisting other businesses with unprofessionalism behavior from the employees. The email asked me to reply if I am interested and I did reply. The next day another email came and stated I was hired and I would get paid $300 for each job completed.

Today, 10/11/2019, I received in the U.S. Postal Service mail a Priority package with a letter from Robert Walbert, the same name on the previous email sent on the 6th of October. Also in the package was a Chase Cashier’s Check in the amount of $2852.30, with me that was a RED FLAG so I immediatebley looked up the company and the names on the Better Business Bureau’s Scam Tracker and found out others have been scammed by completing jobs but their bank information and accounts were compromised. I am thankful I didn’t go any further because when you receive checks, cashier checks or money orders with U.S. Postal Service that is always a RED FLAG!! The cashier’s check look real but please BEWARE OF SCAMMERS, they have HD copiers and can make fake checks and money orders look real.
