I have received *numerous* phone calls from this entity claiming to be "National Grid" when today I found out that to be false. I live in Wakefield, Massachusetts and got a call today at 1:59 p.m. The caller ID just said "AUBURN MA". I answered and it was a recording, again, saying that they were "National Grid" and I honestly don’t remember what else the recording said and I held for a customer service rep.

I figured I would just explain that I am not one of their customers and to please take me off their list since they’ve been calling me about five to ten times a day and I have an elderly father who isn’t in the best of health. I was instantly connected to a CSR and I started to explain who I was and that I wasn’t a customer of National Grid. I was disconnected. Not hung up on; disconnected and the phone went to a reorder.

I feel like my parents are probably being targeted because of their age. Wakefield, MA has it’s own power & electric company so for them to call here and try to manipulate older folks is evil. I truly hope someone finds these sick and twisted criminals and charges them. I am also going to contact National Grid’s Massachusetts customer service line and make them aware of what happened to my family. I’m sure they’re aware of this going on but since they’ve been calling me for quite awhile I would just like to confirm it was not them. Thank you for your time.

On Feb. 24, 2018, I received a call from a foreign woman claiming to be from National Grid. She was trying to tell me that my next month’s bill could be lowered. Continued speaking about lowering the bill and then asked me if the bill came to me in my name . I told her no and hung up on her. The bill does not come to my name. A friend of mine in Watertown was called and was asked for her credit card number. This number had called me earlier in the week. the number she called from came across as 315-303-9047 from Baldwinsville, NY. I looked it up and it said medium risk and they had 59 scam reports on it, 28 calls detected and 147 white page searches. This is definitely a problem. thank you for your time.

They have a different name everytime and try to convince you your power will be shut off within an hour if you don’t go CVS, WalMart or Walgreens to make at least a minimum payment of, mine was $338. I think.

When they realize they are not getting anywhere they get aggressive. Then the actually had the gaul to call me back and ask what the status of my payment was. When I told them I knew it was a scam they tried to convince me it wasn’t and hung up on me.

A man probably in his mid to late twenties came to my apartment building claiming he was with national grid and wanted to make sure we locked in our energy prices before it got colder. He said all he needed to look at on the bill was the grid. He asked to see a bill and when I denied he started acting suspicious and talking in circles and jumbling up all his words. He had some sort of ID badge on but it did not say national grid anywhere. He also went to other apartments in the building .
