I put up an online classified on KSL.com for a car to sell. I got a text message shortly after it was posted from a person who sounded very interested. We set up a time to meet, but then he said he wants MV papers. After asking him what that was he directed my to myhistoryaudit.com to buy a report for $25. I told him I had a carfax instead and then he said he got it (probably in an attempt to end the converstation), even though I didn’t send it to him.

I am selling my car and was contacted by someone of interest. They insisted I provide them a VIN report for the car and suggested a website to purchase the report from. I feel for it and it ended up being scam. Only buy your reports from trusted and familiar sites.
