Type of a scam Online Purchase

Initial email communication was fine. Fine website, said all the right things, responded to my questions. When I began some due diligence like finding previous business on the internet, checking out history of the breeder, checking out stated location (appeared quite dubious), checking out the name of the "breeder", talking on the phone, all the red flags went up. I asked for the sales agreement and other info and what I received was quite suspicious – a document from an official organization that does not exist – also strange wording, grammar and spelling. I asked for the organization’s contact information and received nothing. Further, the seller requested I make payment by wire through a service called Zelle. I notified the seller I will not be buying a dog from him but I did not accuse him of the scam via email..
