Type of a scam Online Purchase
"Mr. Guan" text messaged me saying he was browsing the web and requested a reputable photographer for his daughters birthday and checked if I would accept credit card as a form of payment. After a couple messages back and fourth setting up details, he asked if I would be willing to do him a favor saying…
"So I have not been able to pay the person bringing cakes and snacks since she dos not have the facility to charge credit card so I will need you to add $1500 to your own $250 so you will charge the sum of $1750 on on my credit card and you can help me send the remaining$1500 to the cake maker via her bank deposit when the funds clear ok….Thanks so much for you understanding Katrina!"
After that message I got suspicious and googled his name and "photography service scam" and found similar script scams.
Immediately canceled my communication with him.
BEWARE of this scam requesting for service (that relates to you).
