A text from the following telephone number: 323-508-2991, which traced back to Mpower Communications Corp. located in California pretended to be an interested party towards a car I have for sale in Burgaw, near Wilmington, N.C. The text read, "Hi, are you still selling your Chrysler LHS. I responded, "I am still trying to sell it" The text responded, "I am interested in buying this week,…do you have any kind of report ran on its past?" I responded that I didn’t and described the car and its lack of accidents. The texter responded, "I don’t feel comfortable running it myself because I’m not the legal owner. Can you please get one at "http://depend.autochecked.pw?depend" and then email to me at "[email protected]" and added, "I need to be sure it’s not a lemon before buying. I will be here at work until midnight, but after I see the report I’d like to come buy it this week sometime when you are free." I spent the $12.95 on the auto fax for our car and sent it to the email address. I have texted, but found out that this number is not possible to call per phone. I traced it to Mpower in California, but cannot get in touch with a manager, per your advice. I can see how this could be used from one side of the country to the other for solicitation for a car fax company by Mpower.
