Type of a scam Moving

This website is a fake one and there were three guys who came to move my stuff from my place. They stoped their vehicle midway and claimed for more money. When called the police, they weren’t afraid and even the police were of no help. I expect no one should go through this experience in the future. I ended up paying 1500$ extra which should have been 300$

Type of a scam Moving

I booked a move with the brokers Continental Moving and Storage on 7/20. My move was scheduled for 7/27 with a back up day of 7/28. I was told that the driver would contact me the night before to schedule pick up. I did not get a call and after not hearing from anyone I was finally told that the pick up would take place in 7/28. After finally waiting all day on Sunday, the driver called around 4:30pm and stated that he would arrive in an hour and a half. The drivers arrived shortly after 6 and begin moving boxes into the garage and placing stickers on them. They began to load the truck at this point I had not been given documents to sign. After the job was 1/3 complete, I was given documents to sign/ initial including a blank bill of lading. The minimum number of days for delivery on the paperwork said 3 but because I was told 3-5, I waited until Friday, August 2. I did not initially know the correct company to contact because on the passenger door of the Ryder truck was a computer print out that said Ivy League Moving Services. I contacted Continental who informed me that American Home Relocation was my carrier. I called the office and Karen, who answered the phone as"Moving Services" informed me that dispatch told her my items were in a warehouse in Doraville, GA and would be loaded on the truck over the weekend. At this point I became concerned about my goods and asked for the warehouse address because I was interested in getting family pick up my items for me since my family lives in the Atlanta area. I was told by Anita that there about 5 different warehouses and she did not know the address. I called Saturday (8/3) morning and I am assuming that I spoke with the dispatcher who said if my goods were loaded on the truck I would get a call from the driver. On Tuesday (8/6) I was told that my goods would be loaded on a truck and would be delivered by the end of the week. On Thursday (8/8) I was told by Alan that my goods were still in Chicago and would be loaded on the 12th or 13th. The company apparently operates as both American Home Relocation and Moving Services.
