Type of a scam Online Purchase

I have been in contact with the individuals who "own" the website for Corgi puppies. They did not give me their names through emails and we have been going back and forth discussing the purchase of one of their puppies. They asked me to fill out my name, cell phone, and address to continue the process for buying the dog. When they asked me to wire the money through Walmart moneygram I felt uncomfortable. I emailed them and suggested we go through Paypal or some other verified site. One of them relied saying "my wife works at Walmart let me know if that is ok." I sent them no, it is not ok and told them we would only be using paypal. The funny aspect to all of this is on Walmart’s moneygram customer safety page there is an entire paragraph about individuals who ask for dog/puppy money through their site and how it is a Scam! I emailed the "individuals" that screen shot and they asked "so can you do Walmart to Walmart." I am infuriated that they have my name, phone number, and physical address.
