Type of a scam Online Purchase

This person/ persons advertise items for sale on the internet using facebook adds. We ordered a storage cabinet, received an email saying the order was processed and the product was being delivered (but with no tracking information). This product never arrived – after several months we tried to contact the email we received it was no longer working, and the site which was used (on Shopify) was no longer active/working. We found another email online but never received a response to our inquiries or request for a refund.
