He wanted me pay $400 to clean up my systems and he could clean it up every year for me. He wanted me give him my password to get in my computer. I told him he could be hacker, I’m not giving you that information. He then to d me which buttons to push on my computer, which i did and he got remote access to my computer. Now he’s got control of my computer.

Scammer originally put a warning on my computer that it had been hacked, and that they had Microsoft Techs standing by to assist. When I called, they "took control" of my computer manually and "fixed" the problem after I gave them $199 on my credit card. When I called Microsoft later, they said I had been scammed. This was last summer. Today I received a call from 800-784-7311 saying that they had been ordered to return the money. They wanted me to get on my computer, and I said no, just send me a check. He wanted my banking information in order to return the money. I refused both the request to get on my computer and to give banking information. Last summer in order to fix my computer I had to have an actual tech do this, and it cost me about $300. I also had to cancel my credit card and get a new one. A costly mistake that I don’t want others to have to make.

I first began receiving phone calls and multiple messages from caller id 408-606-5775 claiming that there was a problem with my Apple iCloud account. I was instructed to call back so that Tech Support could help troubleshoot and repair the problem. These calls were made to landlines and not a cell phone. I placed the number in my blocked number list but the voicemail is still recorded multiple times a day.
Now I’ve begun receiving calls from caller id 888-595-0999 claiming to be Microsoft Security Department and they are getting suspicious activity running on your network and computer firewall security has been breached due to foreign activity we recommend to you please do not access your any personal information such as banking shopping or any financial informations on your computer if you want to talk to Microsoft Online technician press 9 to get it fixed or to call back later you can dial 120-972-7477 extension 7 thank you.

While browsing the internet, a pop-up browser tab appears along with an alert sound (two rapid horns repeating). The audio says to call Microsoft right away because a virus has been detected that might be collecting my personal info, including credit card info. If I don’t call immediately, the computer might be forced to go into lockdown mode and I will not be able to access my computer. I’m supposed to call to have MS tech support walk me through removing the virus.

When you call the number back you get the same guy claiming they owe you $200 but in order to claim it you need to renew your account for $500. Total scam. Even if it sounded legit, which it doesn’t, the guy is very unprofessional and will cuss you out if you ask to be removed from their "call list". I continue getting calls from this number

While using the internet, a pop up window appeared along with a voice that said bank and credit card information was at risk and that I should call a toll free number or the computer was going to shut down. I called the number and spoke to someone who identified themselves as working for Microsoft Tech Support. They asked to access my computer to look for foreign activity. I asked them ‘how do I know this isn’t a scam?’ and they said they understood my concerns and that they work for Microsoft. They asked me what security program I was using () and showed that if was not compatible with my operating system, and recommended that I purchase another security software that would scan my wireless network and include a 5 year warranty on my computer. They asked for my credit card information and produced a receipt. They started a program to clean up my computer and said they would call me back in 45 minutes to an hour. When they called back, a representative gave me a case ID number and password, and gave a phone number for me to call if I had any additional problems. They sent me an email to authorize a charge on my credit card for the new security software and asked me to open my email to access it.

Received this call today were he said his name was John Wilson but he had a very heavy accent. So I knew that was a lie from the get go. Next I asked for his id# from his windows badge and he said don’t worry about it I’m from Microsoft I’m trying to help you know open up your computer so we can fix this. Next I told him one moment so I could contact Microsoft from my other phone and then pretend to be on the phone with Microsoft and asked for his call back number and he hung up
