A person called about 6:05 pm today, 3/15/16 saying I had made a $15 pledge to Michigan Disabled and Paralyzed Veterans Fund in February, and asking me to complete with my credit card payment. I definitely remembered hearing a call from them months ago, and I looked them up and confirmed they are part of a bogus shell that raises money in the name of a variety of fictitious charities. I declined to pay.

Here’s the thing: I had declined months ago. They now called and lied to me, saying I had made a pledge.
