Type of a scam Government Grant

Person by the name of Michael Caylor phoned me on my cell phone stating that he’s calling from the Office of the Federal Government. The No. that showed up on my phone was 305-356-9999. He stated he was calling to give me a $8,500 grant. I asked him why. He stated that the government wants to reward good citizens with grant money who don’t have criminal records and are overall good citizens. He gave me an ID Claim No. of WN0061 to claim my grant money. He said to call 202-657-4176 and give them my claim No. to receive my grant money. He also verified my name and address which were incorrectly stated by him. The only thing he got right was the city, New Orleans. I hope you all can inform others of this scam, especially in New Orleans, so that senior citizens and others won’t fall prey to this scam.
