Type of a scam Employment

Received an email to schedule and interview for personal assistant because an office was opening in downtown SA. I replied with day and time available and he called me 3 hours early. So then he called me again and only asked maybe two questions. He stated by Thursday morning I would get an email in which I did stating I got the job. In that letter he requested my full name and address so they can send me a check for office supplies and the satellite trailer would be there by Nov.13th. He also stated that a lap top would be provided to keep track of my task. The yearly salary offered was 65K with three weeks paid vacation. I did not submit any information request as it seemed like a scam. I researched the BBB in both US and Canada but nothing comes up.
