Type of a scam Online Purchase

I saw a price of heavy equipment that I wanted to purchase, on Craigslist. I contacted the seller and she advised that she was selling the equipment because her husband died suddenly and she had relocated, to reside with her parents. She advised that she was using a third party, escrow based company, to handle the inspection, receipt of the funds, and transfer of paperwork, etc. to facilitate the purchase. They contacted me, via email and phone. A tracking number was provided and $6000 was wired to them to hold, pending inspection. The vehicle was never received by me, for inspection. I called to determine where the vehicle was and was advised that there was a delay. The magaer’s name was Alex and he assured me that I would obtain a new email, with new date of arrival. Nothing has been received, as of yet and the delivery date was November 5, 2018. The bank was contacted and they notified the recipient bank of the wire and fraudulent means, but nothing has been received from them, as of yet.
