To whom it may concern,

This business is not to be trusted. Although it was filed as MDB Event Planning the owner Michael is running under the name MDB Hospitality Services. I had recently left my full time employment with an established hospital so that I can start full employment with this company. I was promised a salary and a contract was written for this. After working just 3 weeks, I received checks that did not have sufficient funds to pay me. The owner was enrolled with payroll services when I cam on board but had changed his mind and cancelled right before I was to be paid. Instead he would give me a personal check and then later a business check that both did not clear. As I was one of the heads of my department I had other employees calling stating they were not paid.

It was difficult to know that this would all occur as his company is incorporated and he has an office at the prudential towers under REGUS on 800 Boylston Street, 16th floor which would make him appear credible. Because he was building the business there wasn’t enough information online to help us understand the business and I’ve previously worked with Boston startups so I understood the necessity of branding. I built his current website, helped him recruit designers, planned an event that had sponsors lined up, and it all went down the drain. I left the second there were signs of a scam. He then cancelled the event because he knew that the event could not happen without me. I had to contact local non-profits we were working with and apologize. I do not want this to happen again to anyone else.

I really hope that something can be done about this as he is currently recruiting young our of college students who are eager to work and can overlook all this mess. Thank you
