Type of a scam Debt Collections

Representative from MCO arbitration is calling myself and my ex mother in law. It starts as an automated system which then transfers you to a live person. Somehow they have my old married name, last 4 of my social, old address and old employer. They stated that I took out a payday loan in 2010 and I was up for prosecution. When I told them to send me everything via USPS which federal law requires they told me I was misinformed and that they can send me everything via email. I told them I was onto their scam and not to call me again. I have since blocked their number but who knows how many more of my family members they’ll attempt to contact?

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I’ve been getting numerous phone calls from numerous phone numbers. I waited until they left a voice mail to call back. They left a voicemail with a contact number and case number. I return the call to a few different numbers. They explain to me that I am facing fraud charges and a court case. They offer me a payment arrangement to avoid going to court. They then ask for the payment information that you will be using. If you ask for any paperwork or information on the case or account they refuse or put you on hold for a long time. I’ve had to call my bank to change all of my information.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

I was called by a man from MCO Arbitration on line (855-283-8183) claiming that I owed a payday loan from 2012. That I had refinanced it 6 times. None of that is true. Caller said if I didn’t pay it right there & then, he would have the FBI at my door to take me to jail. I refused & hung up & called the FBI. They told me it was a scam. MCO Arbitration on line called me three more times, and they never did tell me how much I supposedly owed.
