Type of a scam Employment

I received an invitation to connect on LinkedIn from a recruiter called "Matthew Block" from Orlando, FL, 407-732-4458.

I believe this is a scam as a minute prior to this, I received a call at work – my phone displayed ‘Block Mathew’ (only one t in the spelling of Matthew) and when I picked up, the caller just said "yes", and when I asked what this was about, there was a pause and he said "Oh, I was on hold, is this -my first and last name-?" I didn’t say "yes" since I’d heard this could be recorded as a scam. His tone of voice was unlike a recruiter’s, not friendly at all, more aggressive.

When I google the number provided, it comes up as belonging to a 58-year-old lady.
