I was scammed by Mason-Official. I spent $68.78 on wide mouth lids. I checked out the website before ordering. It showed a USA stamp in the corner of the display and offered money back guarantee. I researched a little more and appeared to be coming from California. I thought this is legit. I placed my order and received my tracking number to track the package. I click on it and find:

The lids took the long way from California via China. I finally receive the lids. I prep and prepare 12 quarts of apple pie filling. I hot water bath them and the lids all buckled upward instead of sucking down and sealing the jars. I go back to my email and reply to Mason-Official email asking for a refund.
The first offer:
1. We would like to refund you 20.63 USD of this order to solve this problem. In the meantime, you can still keep the product.
2. To return the parcel and get a full refund. The returning process may take about a month and the shipping fees may cost you about 20 USD. According to the return policy,we need you to provide your return tracking information to us, and we will issue the refund after receiving the package, please kindly understand.
Please let us know your choice so that we can issue a refund or provide a return address as soon as possible.
I asked again for the address to return and received:

I made a counter offer and said you pay me $40 and the issue will be resolved.

I will update if I receive anything back from them. I will be placing my order back in the mail. These lids do not hold up to heat.
Total scam. Do not buy from Mason-Official I lost $175.00 on two separate orders. They will not refund my money (via pay pal), unless I return the goods back to CHINA, where they came in the first place. I received 12 pint jars, when I ordered 12 caes of Quart Jars. I also purchased rings and flats, and only received the flats, no rings. (these was under two separate transactions). Their site illustrates “MASON brand”, and there is nothing Brand or Mason about the merchandise received.
This site is a total scam. Very deceptive of what they’re offering. Good luck getting ahold of customer support. They make it seem like you’re getting a good deal; 1 jar is a case.

This website advertised as the official mason jar website. It described one unit as 12 pieces. With the shortage of mason jars and canning season here, I ordered thinking it was a case of jars, 12 items. I ordered 2 units. When the package arrived it was 2 single jars with rings and lids. They charged $15.99 for one jar. Do not order from mason, ball or any official. They rip you off.
