Type of a scam Debt Collections

I keep getting a call about debt collections. I don’t have student loans and I only have three credit cards which are all being paid on time. I spoken to some one previous told them they have the wrong person. Then another person gets on the phone and threatens me ; as well as My credit. This person also lead to filling a lawsuit. Against me for what???? I and not swimming in debt. What debt I have I very manageable with the amount I make in my full time position. I just want these calls to stop.
