Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Email threat was forwarded. Martin Sanger claimed he needed to board his dog with us because he’s moving from NY to NC. Below, it’s clear he intended to give us a fraudulent check, overpay, ask for that over payment to be given to a 3rd party so he could steal money that way.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience this might cause you, My accountant included Ziggy transporting and some vita shopping expenses into the Check sent to you which made it more than your fee we agreed on for 16days boarding. so once again i am very sorry for the inconvenience. My accountant made me to understand that he included transporting expenses , shopping and payment for his welfare so far into the Check because he thought you will be handling the shipping. Ziggy should be come down from 58th St # New York where i live , i am relocating down to Hendersonville NC after my trip for work related purpose the hauler would be moving ziggy and my horse as well , that is why i need Ziggy with you pending my return .I do not expect any visit for him and please do not release him too no one , thanks for your help so far i am looking forward to seeing you when i get back

Once you receive the Check, deposit it into your bank for clearing and you are to take your total fee for 16 days boarding we agreed on and forward the remainder to my hauler who will care for transporting of ziggy to your place. Hope i can trust you with the balance? I will also compensate you with extra $80 for your efforts and understanding."
