Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
The scam started from LinkedIn’s messenger from one of my friends. Under the guise of doing market research, they sent a check and a guy named Mike Cashman, 530-553-8755, texted instructions to purchase Ebay gift cards. I waited to clear the check before purchase which was a right choice. Their scam was to send scratched gift card numbers back to them. Don’t deposit anything even though referred by a close friend. The package was delivered by USPS from 3KN30 VIA 66, Carolina, PR 00983-4637. Hope everyone to be safe!
