I believe this is a re-shipping scam. By definition a re-shipping scam is….

Work-at-Home Scams

Criminals post job announcements on Internet career sites offering work-at-home positions—sometimes advertised as “merchandising manager” or “package processing assistant.” Duties include receiving packages and mailing them to a foreign address on behalf of a client, using postage-paid mailing labels provided via email.

The real story? It’s a scam!

If you accept the job, you’ll receive packages containing one of two things:

•Merchandise bought with stolen credit cards—the scammer needs your help to smuggle the goods out of the country.

•Counterfeit postal money orders—the scammer wants your help to distribute them to other scammers.

And when you receive payment—watch out! The check or postal money order you receive are counterfeits!

They even gave me an EIN but when I looked it up it was fake.

The person, my manager, will not give me their number to talk to them and will only contact me via the internet.

I thought the company was legitimate. The website looks valid, even links to open up different options on the screen looks valid however, it’s not. This company presents themselves as a shipping and freight company that gives customers in and outside of the United States cheaper rates for sending merchandise by purchasing these rates with their credit cards. The company proceeds to go through an Recruiting website (US-Employees.net, which is not valid either) and they posted a job as Logistics Manager (emote) to send the customer’s merchandise to your place of residence under their assumed (Manager’s name). The object is to have the stolen sent to the (Logistic Manager home) strip all the original shipping labels off, go into Marlene’s transport system and validate the merchandise you receive if correct. You next would take pictures of the original labels, merchandise inside the box, the invoice and upload the pictures to their website. After that is done, their system will automatically populate a "ship and invoice button" and you will print out a new shipping label and a new invoice and the merchandise is shipped to another address other than what was on the original label. When I started questioning procedures, I didn’t get a response. If you call the 800 551-5977, you never get to talk to someone, you have to leave your name and number and someone WILL CALL YOU Back. That will never happen. I became suspicious and started figuring out everything. I never got paid, which I kind of knew I wasn’t anyway, because these people are stealing unsuspecting customers credit card information. I want someone to stop these people from doing this. Also, their FEIN number belongs to someone in Miami Florida. They sent me something on "company letterhead" with a stamp that had the number on it.
