Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

A letter came is the mail claiming to be from a ministry. It promises debt relief through prayer and strongly encourages the receiver to send a "seed" or hundreds if not thousands of dollars to continue the spread of the word. Accepting not only checks or money orders but also credit card numbers including expiration date and CID number as well as address. They also ask for birthdays.
