Type of a scam Tech Support

I received a message that my copy of microsoft windows has expired. The scammer left a voice mail. I called the number back from a different telephone number and they did not know who I was. They asked if I were two other people. When I refused to give them my name the scammer hung up on me. I would like to have this scammer deleted and hopefully not receive any more calls.
