I did in application for mystery shopper and it came up for walmart. He sent me a txt message I have been selected to go to walmart and buy gift cards for the amount of 2600 dollars…7 frm one Walmart for 200 on each and go to a second walmart and buy 6 gift cards for 200 and then send him the 16 digit codes through txt messages

Type of a scam Employment
I was texted from Walmart for a type of secret shopper employment. It said to respond to apply, which I did. A week later I got a text I my application was approved. A couple weeks later I got a Priority mail envelope with a large check, almost $3,000, and a letter with directions to cash it and buy gift cards at Walmart. I suspected it was a scam. I have not cashed the check.
