Type of a scam Government Grant

I was told by a friend that an international company was giving away grants. I was to fill out a promotional app online which only consisted of my name,address,and they said my info after that was verified I would receive my money in 24 hours if I paid a fee. I said no. I blocked the person that had messaged me about this Charlene Abbott and reported this to the Oregon Dept of Justice as well. Another name for this is Bharat Sanchar
