Type of a scam Charity

A female wearing a Santa hat knocked on my door at 6:30 pm attempting to sell magazine subscriptions. She said they would benefit the Ronald McDonald house or Children’s Hospitals. She said she earned points or would be able to improve her resume by selling magazines. She said for us to not be worried about her coming to the door so late in the dark because she had already talked to several of our neighbors and showed us names she had written down on a clipboard. When we declined to buy anything she was very annoyed and as she walked away was mumbling to another person who was standing off to the side of our house in the dark. I’ve read on the ScamPulse.com site and other national news reports this is a scam.
