Type of a scam Online Purchase

I received an email from a Jennifer Balto in regards to a Shipping Clerk job. The job was work from home and I was to pick up packages from certain locations and verify the item and then send to an address they would give me. The first item I was to pick up was a Macbook Pro from the apple store near me. I was giving the tracking number and nothing else, once I called to verify the pickup with apple shortly after I got another call from Jennifer Balto saying not to go pick up the item because it was out of stock. I then asked Jennifer can she send me something to put me at ease and verify the company is real once I asked for that information I didn’t hear from anyone again.

This company intended to "employ" me to send goods to me to reship. Upon further investigation, the company wasn’t official and is a logistics scam. On top of this, they said that the pay would not be taxed.
